December 15-16, 2020 will be held online the eleventh meeting of UNEP Global Mercury Partnership Advisory Group.
The meeting will be co-chaired by Rodges Ankrah (Environmental Protection Agency, U.S.), and TeerapornWiriwutikorn (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand).
It will represents an opportunity to review recent activities of the Partnership and its Partnership Areas; exchange on future priorities; discuss progress and next steps for the work on mercury from non-ferrous mining and smelting and from oil and gas initiated in follow up to PAG-10; as well as an occasion to further preparations for the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention (Bali, Indonesia, 1 to 5 November 2021) and the 15th International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant (Cape Town, South Africa, 24 to 29 July 2022).
